We're super grateful to all our sponsors who help make Manureva Aquafest possible each year, but it's the small team of volunteers who make the magic happen!

Meet some of them here...

Graeme – President, Cook Islands Kitesurfing Association

Graeme grew up surfing in New Zealand before heading to Rarotonga to surf, paddle and kite.  He’s competed in traditional oe vaka outrigger paddling around the South Pacific, and was part of the 2008 team who won the coveted ‘Pacific Paddle’ at Vaka Eiva setting the record (still unbeaten) for the fastest 36km race around the island of Rarotonga.

Rhys - Vice President, Cook Islands Kitesurfing Association

When the wind blows in Rarotonga, Rhys is always the first out on the water!  A super keen kitesurfer who loves to boost high over surf outside the reef, Rhys also spends his spare time on the road and in the ocean competing in Triathlons.  He loves sharing his passion for kitesurfing with everyone – young and upcoming locals learning to kite as well as visitors to the Cook Islands.

Brynn - Secretary, Cook Islands Kitesurfing Association

Originally from Montana, USA, Brynn is co-owner of KiteSUP Cook Islands with her partner Ina.  An IKO Level 2 instructor, she’s lived in Rarotonga since 2010 and loves sharing her passion for kiteboarding and paddling.  When she’s not taking a SUP Yoga class or instructing kitesurfing lessons, she loves riding her motorbike with her dogs Toa and Base, cooking, snow kiting and cross words!

Theresa – Financial Controller, Cook Islands Kitesurfing Association

A native from Tahiti, Theresa is our Tahitian translator and a formidable controller of the Manureva Aquafest finances!  When she’s not learning to kitesurf shes killing her WOD at Crossfit, soaking up the sunshine or coaching her partner Gordon from the beach as he blows his moves :-)

 Ina – Multimedia Extraordinaire

A local Cook Islander who loves the ocean, Ina is co-owner of KiteSUP Cook Islands with Brynn and finished top of the podium in the Freestyle competition at Manureva Aquafest 2014, showcasing his unique kitesurfing style.  If he's not in the water, he’s either entertaining tourists with fire dancing or playing with his many multimedia “toys”- Ina loves producing creative kitesurfing visual content and through KiteSUP Productions is the talent behind our awesome Manureva Aquafest’s videos.

 Clare – Communications and PR

Originally from New Zealand, Clare spent 16 years living in Europe hanging around on rock faces and in the mountains.  On her return to the Southern Hemisphere, she fell in love with the people, beauty and culture of the Cook Islands.  A “newbie” to the ocean and kitesurfing, she feels honoured to have discovered spectacular Aitutaki and the amazing Manureva Aquafest crew.
